How much could trading for Pascal Siakam cost the Pacers?
Pascal Siakam has been playing at an All-NBA level this season as the Toronto Raptors’ go-to guy, posting mind-boggling numbers to the tune of 25.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game. Despite those extraordinary stats, his team does not project to be a force in the East anytime soon, opening the possibility for them to try pivoting to the future with an expected haul for their All-Star forward.
Toronto can certainly get that from the Indiana Pacers, which can not only hash out three unprotected first-rounders for Siakam, but also two talented young cogs in Chris Duarte and Isaiah Jackson, as well as an attractive veteran piece in Buddy Hield.
Duarte and Jackson have underperformed or remained in the Pacers’ doghouse this season, but both players have shown enough from last season to warrant the trust of the Raptors faithful that they have a lot more room to improve.
Meanwhile, Porter Jr. is a nice supplementary piece who fits a position of need for Indiana while serving as a reliable veteran contributor with playoff experience when healthy.
