Indiana Pacers: 3 teams to avoid in any Myles Turner trade
The Indiana Pacers should avoid the hard-capped Brooklyn Nets for Myles Turner at all costs
Like the Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets have devoted almost all their money to their terrific Big Three. Yet somehow, the Nets manage to be even more limited than the Lakers with what they can use to entice the Indiana Pacers in a deal for Myles Turner.
On their roster, only Joe Harris makes sense as a financial mediator on Brooklyn’s part next to Indiana’s Myles Turner. I’ve already highlighted how the Pacers would become the bigger loser receiving the sharpshooter, but for the sake of hopeful, yet misguided Nets folks, let’s take a slightly deeper dive.
Indiana could theoretically benefit from Harris’ added perimeter firepower, but having him as the major return for one of their best assets in Turner reeks concession on their part. Brooklyn is also not positioned to add definitive sweeteners, as the most adjacent first-round pick they have control over is in…2028.
Unfortunately, their minimum contract players are also mostly big men, a position where the Pacers need more trimming than bolstering. Their crop of youngsters are far from the worst, but the likes of Nic Claxton and Cam Thomas do not fill a need for the win-now Blue and Gold.
