This ultra small-ball lineup could be a viable option for the Indiana Pacers

Lineup: Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert, Oshae Brissett, TJ Warren, Torrey Craig

There’s really no urgent need for the Indiana Pacers to intensely commit to small-ball configurations with their roster. After all, the team is bannered by two talented centers in the frontcourt in All-Star Domantas Sabonis and defensive menace Myles Turner.

However, a glaring hole in both big men’s profile is their long track record of injuries. Whenever one of them is sidelined, the Pacers quickly morph into a one-dimensional team with a dominant, yet abrasive penchant for solely offense or defense.

With Goga Bitadze’s often erratic play as the lone big, resorting to an all-perimeter small-ball lineup on the floor could be a viable option next season for Indiana. With three starters and high-octane scorers in Brogdon, LeVert and Warren and a pair of two-way tweeners replacing their frontcourt aces in Brissett and new addition Craig, the Blue and Gold can maximize switchability on defense and pace and shooting on offense without a jarring concession, except maybe with rebounds.
