NBA Mock Draft 5.0: Final first-round predictions before the draft
NBA Mock Draft 13th Pick: Indiana Pacers – Moses Moody
This may be quite biased, especially with Moses Moody possibly getting picked with a much higher selection, but Arkansas product’s enormous upside makes him a very enticing and perhaps, an inarguable choice for the Indiana Pacers if he’s still available on the board.
Whether the Pacers like it or not, change has to be on the way for the franchise, especially with Indiana missing the postseason for the first time in six years. Their roster-compelled alienation of full-time small-ball is in dire need of a departure from, and stacking on switchable wings who can help them play more fluidly should be a point of emphasis this offseason.
Moody, one of the youngest prospects in the 2021 draft class, is a high-upside player who boasts great length and athleticism, flashes of growing shot creation and a reliable three-point shot. It remains to be seen who between Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis will be retained, but nevertheless, he makes too much sense for the Pacers for them not to have him atop their big board.
