What if the Indiana Pacers send Myles Turner to the Knicks?

After defying the odds and earning a playoff spot last season, the Knicks could be hungry to get back to the top next season. Nerlens Noel is set to become a free agent with a big market so New York may look elsewhere to fill the frontcourt.

This package is much less attractive on paper than the Hornets package but Mitchell Robinson is an intriguing option to replace Turner’s defensive efforts. Last season, Robinson averaged 1.5 blocks, 1.1 steals, and 8.1 rebounds. Most notably, Robinson accrued 3.6 rebounds per game on the offensive glass. The Pacers need rebounding and Mitchell Robinson offers that.

Mitchell Robinson is also dominant near the rim, shooting 70.5 percent from the field over the course of his career. Adding him to the bench would be a very formidable move for Indiana.

Kevin Knox II needs a fresh start while the Pacers need depth on the wing. Throw him in and add a couple of first-round picks and this deal seems pretty reasonable from both sides, though I still prefer the other offer.

Ideally, the Pacers will send Myles Turner to the Western Conference to avoid the karma of Turner dominating them in the future.
