Sign and Trade for Malcolm Brogdon

The Indiana Pacers traded a first-round pick and two second-round picks to the Bucks for Malcolm Brogdon. A great trade, as Malcolm Brogdon was a great piece for the Pacers this year, but was it needed?

The Pacers old-school ownership wanted to give the Bucks pieces back, instead of just stealing Malcolm Brogdon away since they weren’t going to match his deal from the Pacers. That part isn’t on Kevin Pritchard, but it’s still a great deal.

The picks probably aren’t going to turn into anything great but you never know. What the Pacers received back was a great two-way, combo guard to be a perfect fit next to Oladipo. Although Victor Oladipo and Malcolm Brogdon barely hit the court, Malcolm Brogdon was playing at All-Star form to start the season until the injuries kept piling up.

Even with Malcolm Brogdon constantly getting nagging injuries he is still so valuable to the franchise, he is a fantastic leader on and off the court, earning his nickname as “The President” due to his Obama-like voice and his great leadership.

Grade: B (The nagging injuries and the fact picks were traded hurts the grade)
