Best Indiana Pacers player from Virginia Tech: Ron Perry
After starting the 1968-69 ABA season with the Floridians and Nets, Ron Perry finished the season with 27 games for the Pacers. His scoring averaged dropped form 19.3 points with the Nets to 13.5 with Indiana.
The highlight of his time in a Pacer jersey came on March 7 when he dropped 35 points in a victory over his former Nets squad.
Best Indiana Pacers player from Wake Forest: Jeff Teague
The Indianapolis native and Pike High School product, Jeff Teague played in Atlanta for the first seven years of his career before a one-year stop as a Pacer for the 2016-17 campaign.
Playing in all 82 games that season as the starting point guard, Teague recorded one of the best statistical seasons of his career with 15.3 points, 7.8 assists, and four rebounds per contest. Many fans took issue with his frequent turnovers which led to Teague leaving for Minnesota in free agency after just one season.
A consistent floor general in the NBA, he has averaged 12.6 points and 5.8 assist over his 11-year career.
