Cory Joseph’s current contract

CoJo is in the final season of a four year, $29,890,000 contract that he signed with the Toronto Raptors back in 2015. The deal started at $7,000,000 per year and came with $315,000 each season.

Do the math, and CoJo is set to make $7,945,000 this coming season. An expiring contract at less than $10,000,000 is a steal for a good player like Joseph.

Think of some other point guards around the league around Joseph’s talent level – Rajon Rondo, Reggie Jackson, Jeremy Lin. All of those guys make more than Cory Joseph, and some of them for a longer period of time.

Then you examine the guys making about as much as CoJo – DJ Augustin, Shaun Livingston, and Jerryd Bayless – and it is clear why CoJo’s deal is so good. He is paid very little for how talented he is, and that is a huge boon for the Pacers cap sheet.
