T.J Leaf — UCLA

Another top recruit with a high skill level and high ceiling is T.J Leaf. Leaf is a 6’10 freshman from UCLA. Lonzo Ball and Bryce Alford have gotten all the praise for the season UCLA has had thus far. Although both are great players the X factor and leading scorer for this team is neither Ball nor Alford but Leaf.

I could see a potentially perfect fit alongside Myles Turner in the Pacers frontcourt for years to come.

Again Leaf is a sneaky athletic player that lacks strength as well as top flight wingspan. Yet he averages 16 and 8 for a team with Final Four potential. Leaf fits perfectly in the Pacers picture just as Luke Kennard does. Leaf has a nice face-up game as well as a smooth jumper with 3 point range.

T.J Leaf should and is (I’m sure) on Bird’s radar. He needs to have strength but looks as though his skills could translate very well in today’s NBA. As Leaf adds this well needed muscle and continues to improve on his game. I could see a potentially perfect fit alongside Myles Turner in the Pacers frontcourt for years to come.
