4. The Rookies look really good

This is something that is really exciting. Both Myles Turner and Joe Young are showing that they will be major contributors come the start of the season. While Turner did not blow you away by any means, he was solid once again.

His 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 14 minutes were extremely impressive. He showcased that often talked about soft touch by hitting numerous turnaround jumpers and he was active around the rim once again.

Joe Young looked fantastic coming off the bench as the point guard. He scored 18 points in 22 minutes of action and showcased a wide arsenal of offensive moves. Whether it be floaters or pull up jump shots this guy can flat-out score. He also stepped up to knock down clutch free throws near the end of the game.

One underrated thing about may be his defensive tenacity. He hounded the ball handler throughout the course of the game and ended up with 2 steals when it was all said and done. He is continuing to look more and more like a steal for a second round pick.

There will surely be growing pains for these two at some point…but for now there has been nothing major to report. After the glimmers of hope these two have provided the Pacers future looks bright.
