Jackson may have been second-most-notorious belligerent in the brawl and served the second-longest suspension at 30 games. Jackson would play with Indiana until 2007, when he was dealt to the Golden State Warriors along with Al Harrington (and Sarunas Jasikevicius) for Mike Dunleavy, Jr., Troy Murphy, and Ike Diogu. He starred for the We Believe Dubs for a bit, then traveled around with the Charlotte Bobcats, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs (on a second stint), and the Los Angeles Clippers before being cut in January.

Jackson hasn’t been shy about his feeling towards Artest after Artest demanded a trade the next year. Jackson said, in Grantland’s oral history of the Malice at the Palace, that he felt betrayed.

"We would have won a championship that year, man. We had the best team, best young team. We had a Hall of Famer in Reggie Miller. We had every piece to the puzzle, great coaches, great team, great owner, great general manager. And everything was working. So I think a lot of guys are still bitter, like, “Dang, that was my chance to win a championship and Ron was real selfish to do that.”"

What’s he doing now? Making mixtapes under the name Stak5, of course
