Jeremiah Robinson-Earl could be the Indiana Pacers’ ideal power forward

Sans small-ball adjustments, the Indiana Pacers don’t really have a natural power forward on the roster who can play the position full-time. With Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis projected to play in staggered sets more than as a combined pairing, having a true 4 off the bench as a depth piece will benefit the team.

Enter Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. One of the more unpredictable prospects in the 2021 NBA Draft, the Villanova product constantly wavers in various mocks, going from as high as the 20s to late second-round, which is symbolic of this draft class’ extraordinary depth in talent and upside.

Nevertheless, if the 6’9 forward ends up sliding to the late second round, the Pacers brass shouldn’t hesitate to take him on. His intelligent play on the power forward position, which includes a knack for ball movement, ball handling and an advanced mid-range game, will fit well on Indiana’s frontcourt.
