What we don’t love about Kyle O’Quinn

There honestly isn’t a lot to dislike about O’Quinn’s game. He isn’t a prolific creator and doesn’t have great strength in the post. He often is outmuscled by bigger and stronger players down low.

O’Quinn’s biggest weakness is his lack of a three-point shot. Floor spacing will be vital for Indiana if they want to improve in 2018-19. None of Indiana’s big men have ever shot the three at an elite rate and O’Quinn is no difference. A lack of spacing could cut into his minutes in more important games.

The short nature of this section should be exciting to you if you support the Indiana Pacers. Again, it’s not that KOQ is a world beater, but he’s good at a lot of things but he isn’t bad at much anything. That kind of player can be on the floor in most situations, and that will make O’Quinn very useful.
