CNN Philippines invited me on to talk Paul George and where he’ll likely end up when up he leaves the Indiana Pacers after this season.

Everyone wants to know where Paul George will end up next, even though the Indiana Pacers star is most likely to end up where he said he wants to go: the Los Angeles Lakers.

But it isn’t a sure thing, either. Kevin Pritchard is still hunting for trades — including one with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets — and if George ends up on a contender that makes a significant run in the playoffs, he may want to stick around with his new team instead of bolting for LA.

But the threat of Paul George leaving for the Lakers after a trade is making Pritchard’s job very difficult as he isn’t negotiating trades from a position of power. His best bet is leveraging the competing offers from different teams against each other.

On Friday, Mico Halili of CNN Philippines invited me on to talk about the ever-changing situation and what’s next for Paul George and the Indiana Pacers.

Where is Paul George headed?

Once the NBA Draft came and went without a trade, it became apparent that Pritchard was doing one of two things: He is either bluffing when he says there are several good offers or he actually had something better than the rumored 27th+28th picks and a younger player from the Lakers.

Pacers fans are increasingly frustrated with the situation if social media is any indication. Fans want this saga to end, but one hopes Pritchard’s patience will pay off with a decent return considering the situation. Pritchard’s history as a GM should comfort fans, but it is hard to look at some of the rumored trade offers and get overly excited.

The situation is likely to be over sooner rather than later, but it will be a long wait for Indiana Pacers fans as they wait for whatever is next.
