4 former Indiana Pacers who could help the team in 2021

Georges Niang took off after leaving the Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers took a chance on Georges Niang back in 2016 with a second-round pick. With low expectations, Niang stuck around as a rookie but really struggled in his limited playing time, shooting just 25 percent from the field and 8.3 percent from three-point range.
After that season, Niang signed with the Utah Jazz and found a home there for the next four seasons. Improvement has come with each new campaign for Georges, who played in all 72 games and started in 10 for the Jazz last season. He set a career-high with 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game in 16 minutes of action.
Now a free agent, Niang would be a decent candidate to return to Indiana and add depth to their perimeter. He has shot above 40 percent from deep in each of the last three seasons, totaling an impressive 41.3 percent 3P% in that span. His effective field goal percentage reached 59 percent for the second time in his career and he managed to convert nearly 96 percent of his free throws.
Niang is not going to shift the meter a whole lot for a team fighting back into the mix but his depth on the perimeter is worth discussing. He can be a reliable role player off the bench, especially if the Pacers lose Doug McDermott in free agency.
Will Indiana actually reunite with one of their former players this summer?
