No. 9: New York Knicks — Wendell Carter Jr., PF/C, Duke

Two Duke big men in the top 10? That’s crazy right?

Wendell Carter Jr. would be a superstar on just about any other team in college basketball, but even with a bigger name in Marvin Bagley III sharing the front court, Carter Jr. has been sensational for the Blue Devils in his freshman season.

The 6’11 big man has averaged an astonishing 20.3 points and 14 rebounds per 40 minutes, and has an 126.4 offensive rating.

Carter Jr. is one of the most consistent big men in this draft, and will be a solid pro for many years to come. With Carter Jr., the New York Knicks get the perfect fit to go with superstar Kristaps Porzingis and rebounding machine Enes Kanter, while giving them their big man of the future.

While Carter isnt the most athletic or explosive player, he has solid fundamentals in the paint and score from just about anywhere on the floor. He’s a very good passer, a solid defender, with an NBA ready body.
