No. 4: Sacramento Kings — Michael Porter Jr., SF, Missouri

Out of all the names at the top of this draft, Michael Porter Jr. has the most questions, and it’s not even close.

Porter Jr. was the top recruit in the 2017 class, and was widely considered to be a lock for the #1 pick. However, after suffering a back injury in the opening seconds of Missouri’s season opener, the 6’10 wing has played in only one game this season.

Even with injury questions, Porter Jr. should be a top five pick, as he still could be the best player in this draft class down the road. Having the ability to shoot from deep, create for himself off the bounce, as well as score in the post, all bode well for him being a future all-star.

Pairing Michael Porter Jr, with last year’s top 5 pick De’Aaron Fox, alongside of former North Carolina forward Justin Jackson, gives Sacramento a great young core to move forward with

If medical reports clear Michael Porter Jr. and show no long-term damage, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him potentially go higher than #4.

If Porter Jr. is able to lead the Missouri Tigers on a deep tournament run, there’s a good chance his stock could go through the roof.
