Lots of buzz surrounds Gordon Hayward and the Pacers
Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports /

Who says the Indiana Pacers have to fall apart?: Gregg Doyel, IndyStar

I have to start this with a disclaimer: This was not a stellar piece of sports writing, and it glossed over a lot of the very serious complications that would accompany any scenario in which Gordon Hayward becomes a Pacer. However, I still felt that I should include something about the Hayward buzz that has been circulating since the Jazz were eliminated Monday night. It’s not impossible that Hayward ends up in Indiana, but it’s very, VERY unlikely, unless someone reading this is inclined to pay Al Jefferson’s salary.

Former Indiana Pacers Coach George Irvine Dies: WFYI Indianapolis

There was unfortunately some sad news this week as well, with former coach George Irvine passing away on Monday night in Seattle. Irvine coached the Pacers from 1984-1986 and was an assistant for several years after that. The Pacers organization released a statement on his death here. Our thoughts are with the Irvine family.

Myles Turner shouldn’t change what makes him special: C. Cooper, Indy Cornrows

C. Cooper is back in the roundup, this time recapping the sophomore season from Myles Turner. Cooper has reviews up for Monta Ellis and Joe Young as well, and I would encourage everyone to check those out as well. Turner’s highs and lows are touched on, as well as the potentially disconcerting news that he’ll be spending the offseason trying to improve his post presence. That’s not what we need from you, Myles.

Dunc’d On NBA Podcast: Indiana offseason preview: Nate Duncan

Nate Duncan and Danny LeRoux are known for being exhaustive in their NBA coverage, and this was no exception. They dream up some potential Paul George trade offers from both the Lakers and the Celtics, discuss Jeff Teague’s pending free agency, and attempt to figure out how to improve the team if George decides to stay.

Kevin Pritchard ready to use aggressive approach on Pacers’ revamp: Associated Press

A nice overview here of what we know so far about the Kevin Pritchard era. There’s nothing really new, but it gives a good description of Pritchard’s attitude as an executive and some of the ways that might play out.

If you aren’t following Shekinah Young, you’re doing it wrong.

You had me at Boban.
