Also pleased to hear, since writing about ZORAN Dragic yesterday, that a few NBA teams are indeed tracking him. Hope for a two-Dragic NBA!

No, this isn’t a sitcom plot where Goran will actually be trying to be in two places at once while playing for two NBA teams. It would get even trickier on Nov. 22 when the Pacers and Suns play and Goran/Zoran would have to find a way to sub out, run to the locker room to change uniforms, and sub in for the other team. Of course the gig would be up when he rushes the change and comes back to the court wearing the shorts of one team and the jersey of the other. High jinks would ensue! This may or may not be similar to the plot of a Boy Meets World episode I watched the other day.
But back to reality. Zoran is a 6’4, 25 year old, Slovenian shooting guard playing well at the FIBA World Cup. In Slovenia’s 89-68 win over Mexico on Monday he led the team with 20 points and three steals while finding time to make this finesse pass on an alley-oop play.
In Saturday’s game Zoran was four for seven shooting with 1o points in Slovenia’s win over Australia. Game highlights below, or skip to the 1:00 mark to see a nice baseline drive by Zoran.
Since Stein’s tweet there hasn’t been much chatter, but after the World Cup finishes we might have a better idea of the interest the Pacers have in Zoran, and how much he may have in Indiana.
Regardless, someone has all ready entirely jumped the gun and did this.
Go home Basketball Twitter, you’re drunk.
