For the rest of the summer on every Thursday, a notable Pacer game or performance will be posted. Whether it’s Reggie Miller giving Spike Lee a choke sign or a random Pacer game in the past, each video will bring nostalgia.

On May 29, 1995, the Pacers beat the Magic 94-93 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Rik Smits hit and up and under jump shot with 1.3 seconds left to beat the Magic and even up the series at 2 games apiece. In my opinion, this shot is right up there with Reggie Miller’s countless memorable moments.

Smits was effective in every aspect that night. He scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out seven assists and blocked two shots. He shot 6-of-16 from field and was 9-of-11 from the free-throw line.
