The Phoenix Suns declined a trade that would send All-NBA point guard Goran Dragic to Indiana for Roy Hibbert, Chris Copeland and cash.
(Ekipa) “Indiana offered Roy Hibbert, Chris Copeland and some cash,” Dragic told the reporter from Ekipa. “But according to my sources, the Suns rejected the offer.”
“It’s the NBA,” Dragic said. “You’re here today, and there tomorrow. It’s business”.
This was first translated by Bright Side of the Sun. It’s interesting this came directly from Dragic. You usually don’t hear about trade rumors from players. A reporter would be the first to make it public.
The Pacers know very well the damage Dragic does on a basketball court. The Suns beat the Pacers twice in late January behind Dragic’s combined 49 points, 10 assists and five rebounds. The Pacers were 33-7 at that point and didn’t look the same after those two losses.
Don’t expect this to be the last trade involving Hibbert and Copeland. They will continue to be active.
