Paul George and Roy Hibbert Make NBA All-Defensive Teams

The NBA has announced its all league defensive teams.

Paul George is on the first team. No surprise here. He’s in the upper echelon of perimeter defenders.

Thanks to his great first half of the season, Roy Hibbert gets on the second team.

Update: Every other Pacer starter received a vote for defensive teams. Lance Stephenson received 14 votes, David West received two votes and George Hill also received two.

Hibbert was still an excellent defender in the second half too. Indiana’s defense slipped from historic great to really, really good in the second half. Hibbert slipped from DPOY to 2nd team. It wasn’t an award simply for the first couple months.

Well earned by both PG and Hibbert. One little thing in the vote totals cracked me up – who the hell voted for James Harden??

And David Lee, Danny, Monta Ellis….
