This is very scary. Roy Hibbert was driving to the hoop when he was pulled to the ground by the Pistons’ Charlie Villanueva. He drops hard and smashes his head on the hardwood.
Hibbert stayed on the court to attempt (and make) his free throws after the hard fall. He then left the game and went to the locker room for evaluation.
Villanueva was charged with a flagrant foul.
After analysis, Hibbert was ruled questionable to return with a sore neck.
This came just one week after the big man took a vicious elbow to the jaw from LeBron James and was forced to the locker room. In that game, he passed all concussion tests and resumed playing soon after, helping the Pacers beat the Heat in what was their most emotional win of the season.
