As the third quarter wound to a close Tuesday night, a few things were going through the collective minds of Pacers fans:
- The Pacers look pretty spry tonight. They’ve got a bounce in their step and the three days off was definitely needed.
- It’s good to have Mr. West in the building.
- …that Boogie Cousins tho…
After leading by as many as 16, Marcus Thornton hit a tough 3-pointer with 3 seconds left to cut the lead to single digits. Boogie Cousins had been other-worldly dominant, recording 19 points and 10 rebounds…IN THE QUARTER.
Most of the players on the court slumped their shoulders and seemed willing to mail in the rest of the quarter.
Not Paul George.
The best part about this? We have all seen countless NBA players purposefully take this shot a split second too late, attempting the long range jumper while also trying not to hurt their precious shooting percentage. Once again, Not Paul George.
John and Ringo would be proud.
