Paul George and Roy Hibbert are Easy All Star Selections

Good things continue to come for the Indiana Pacers this season as Paul George and Roy Hibbert are in the top of the voting for All Star selections. Just another sign that this Pacers team is getting that national attention fans have been clamoring for. If it wasn’t enough to see Justin Timberlake sitting courtside on Tuesday night, fans will be treated to hopefully two Indiana Pacers in the All Star game this season.

You want to see Paul George’s ascension into top tier status, just look at how he’s second in vote getting right now. To me, that means nationally George’s game has caught the attention. He’s a guy that plays hard on both ends of the court and asked to do so much on defense. I think come the end of the year, we’ll see plenty of attention for those end of the year awards, and that will be cool to see.

Roy Hibbert is a pleasant surprise about the early returns of voting as well. I thought with the center position being taken away, Hibbert might have a hard time garnering enough votes to be considered an All Star. But I believe the way he’s defending out there and having those nights of offensive bursts, he’s getting some attention. It would be great to see a second All Star selection added to his mantle of achievement.

To me, it’s just awesome to see our Indiana Pacers getting some love from the fans outside our city of Indy. I know I’ve been talking this team up so much, people are tired of listening. But if others are saying the same things, that does mean something. I’ll continue to post up about how great things are and will be for this team. Hopefully, two Pacers head to the All Star Game sporting the Blue and Gold.
