Indiana Will Attempt To Remain Unbeaten At Home

Tonight the Indiana Pacers host the Minnesota Timberwolves with tip-off taking place at 7:00 p.m.  They will try to keep their home winning streak alive while furthering their top spot in the eastern conference.  It will be important to walk away with a victory as we look ahead to a pretty heavy road schedule on the west coast.

In the Pacers last game against the 76ers Roy Hibbert came up big as did all our starters.  Roy lead the way with 27 points to accompany his 13 rebounds.  Lets not forget about his 6 blocked shots.  Paul George and Lance Stephenson were huge contributors as well.

I look for Hibbert to continue his defensive dominance and hope that his last game was a glimpse of his offensive arrival this year.  We all know the has been the late bloomer in his offensive production in the past seasons and I for one I am waiting for that trend to end.  I do, however, expect for Stephenson to continue with his growth as the superstar he is sure to become.

The good news for Indiana in my opinion is they don’t have to rely on any one player being the leading scorer.  They have many offensive weapons and the offseason additions of Scola and Copeland offer support during the starters rest time.

The main attraction continues to be the Pacers league leading defense.  They are holding opponents to an average of 82.7 points and only 36 percent shooting from the field.  I expect for our home team to get up early and never look back especially after struggling with a Philadelphia team that was missing many key players.
