Pacers Open Against Orlando At Home

It seems like just yesterday our Indiana Pacers were within reach of the NBA Finals.   Now we are here in late October waiting for tomorrow’s season opener against the Orlando Magic.  Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. here in Indianapolis’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse.  With the additions of several key bench players such as Donald Sloan, Luis Scola, and Chris Copeland Indiana has put themselves in an even better position to make a run at the title.  Danny Granger has also returned to the line-up although he will miss the first three weeks due to a calf injury.  Let’s hope he doesn’t spend another year pulling in a hefty salary while in street clothes.  A player to watch will be Indiana’s Victor Oladipo whom has already stood out during the preseason of his rookie campaign with the Orlando Magic.  I look for the Pacers to keep up with their physical style of defense and remain one of the toughest teams to put up points against.  One thing is for sure.  The young group of ball players has matured another year and should be ready for anything that may head their way.  I look for Indiana to start their season with a big win.
