NBA Off Season: Indiana Pacers Summer Roster

Here’s the roster for the Indiana Pacers upcoming summer league. There are a couple of names that stand out in my mind. The first being Johnny Flynn, who was a high draft pick in 2009, and looked impressive in those firet two season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. But last season, he played in the D-League, so who knows where his game is at now. But if he can put up a good showing, the Pacers might take a chance on him at that back up point guard postion. That’s going to be such a need for the team, they have to figure out who will be there.

Ben Hansbrough could be vying for that spot as well, so it’s important for him to put up a great effort this summer.

The other name that caught my eye was Rasual Butler. He’s always been a solid power forward who just does enough to help a team. He could earn his way to the Pacers squad as they’re in that market for a big forward role player. He might be able to give you some minutes of work. At this point in his career, I would think he wants to end up on a contending team, so he might want to make this Pacers squad this coming season.

The rookie Solomon Hill will be a part of this summer squad. Miles Plumlee and Orlando Johnson, rookies last year, will get more work this summer. I like the chances of Orlando Johnson doing more for the Pacers this upcoming season, so this summer league could be a boost to his game.

The Pacers will be busy filling out the roster, while these guys fight for that chance to make it this summer.
