NBA Mock Draft 2013: Indiana Pacers Select Tim Hardaway Jr.

Another site, and another draft pick.  This time, let’s look at who Bleacher Report is putting at number 23 for the Indiana Pacers.  A shooting guard out of Michigan, Tim Hardaway Jr.  This guy would make plenty of sense for the Pacers as he’s a scorer.  He’s a guy that can shoot the three well, and according to Bleacher Report shot it the best at the combine for the NBA.  That could be a great thing for his NBA career.

There would be a small tie in with the Indiana Pacers already as Tim Hardaway Sr. played a short time for the team. Only one season, and it was his final season before retiring. But in his career, Tim Hardaway Sr was quite the scoring threat, and his son encompasses some of that, and at times surpasses it.

You bring in Hardaway Jr for that scoring punch off the bench, and your bench already looks better.  I don’t know about his consistently factor, which to me, is the key aspect.  If he can come in and get double figures each time out, sure let’s draft this guy.  If he can hit a three late in the game as he showed at times in his Michigan career, even better.  He’s a guy that will work for his shot, and make the most of it.  I think this would be a fine pick for the Indiana Pacers as the two guard position is where they need that big help.  Tim Hardaway Jr could be quite the solution for that problem.
