NBA Playoffs 2013: Indiana Pacers WILL WIN Game Two

Bold prediction time, the Indiana Pacers will find some way to win out in game two, and tie up the series with the Miami Heat. I think that with game one, the Pacers showed most of the way, they were the better team.  They controlled the tempo, and didn’t let the Heat do as much as they wanted to.  Even looking around that first game, the Pacers weren’t at their best with the turnovers, so I believe they can clean up that area, and take advantage of those missed opportunities like the free throws in game one. There could be something brewing here, and the Pacers could show tonight, that for one game, they’re the better team.

Roy Hibbert needs to be given the ball again in the post, and he’s going to be huge on defense. With the way people were so up in arms over Frank Vogel’s decision to pull Hibbert out on that last play, we could see this aggressive attitude on defense by Hibbert.  But he will need to be careful, and not get drawn into fouls.  Foul trouble for him could disrupt his ability to do what he can on the floor, and having him out there in the middle really solidifies the defense of the Pacers.

Paul George needs to be strong defensively on Lebron James. Offensively, Paul George needs to come alive as well.  He definitely brought it strong in the second half of game one, but if he can bring that effort in both halves of tonight, the Pacers could look really good, and they would be much better on the offensive end.

It’s all about cleaning up those small mistakes from game one.  The Pacers built up a seven point lead that could have been larger as long as the Pacers took advantage.  They can’t have the turnovers and bad passes.  George Hill has to be strong with his ball handling skills. I believe he won’t have a bad game like he did in game one.  David West looks like he can definitely take advantage of his match up in the series.  If the starters all bring their A game and are on the same page that should balance out against what Lebron James can do with the Heat. They have to be careful that Dwayne Wade doesn’t pull of some miracle healing and really take off against the Pacers. I would look for them to really lock down defensively, and control the game like they did.  If that happens, the Pacers SHOULD walk out with a win. I’m never good with the point spread, but I believe the Pacers sneak out with some win by five or less points.  That ties the series, and going into Sunday’s game three at home for the Pacers, watch out.
