Pacers vs. Knicks: Second-Round Schedule

After burying the Atlanta Hawks last night, the Pacers earned the right to play the New York Knicks, which last night put down a scare that the Boston Celtics were putting into their playoff hopes.

Now, we have two teams that had two similar regular seasons and two not-so-different first-round series.

Each was seen as the clearly superior squad, and that’s how it played out early in the series. Then the lesser squad started to flex its muscles. The Knicks lost its first game in overtime while the Pacers got smoked twice in Atlanta, but the effect probably wasn’t all that different, as both the favorites likely questioned themselves a little bit and had to re-evaluate exactly how they play in order to advance.

Now, for the first time since 1999 2000, the Pacers and Knicks square off in the postseason.

Whenever they did throughout the 1990s, it was legendary.

Oh boy. Here we go again.

Game 1: Sunday, 5/5 – 3:30 pm @ New York (ABC)
Game 2: Tuesday, 5/7 – 7:00 pm @ New York (TNT)
Game 3: Saturday, 5/11 – 8:00 pm @ Indiana (ABC)
Game 4: Tuesday, 5/14 – TBD o’clock @ Indiana (TNT)
Game 5: Thursday, 5/16 – 8:00 pm @ New York (TNT, if necessary)
Game 6: Saturday, 5/18 –  TBD o’clock @ Indiana (ESPN, if necessary)

I’m no expert, but TiqIQ site generally has some decent prices on Pacers tickets if you’re trying to get to a game.

UPDATE: Plus, there is this.

Man, did this TNT scheduler dude just did this?
