If there’s an advantage the Indiana Pacers will have tomorrow night against the Miami Heat, it’s in the post.  Now of course, Lebron James might end up down there at times posting up and defending against David West.  But if David West and Roy Hibbert have the regular Heat defenders on them, they have to take advantage of that.  We all know as Pacer fans that David West is going to come to play hard, and I hope tomorrow night, he just brings it a bit more.  I would look for him to be amped up and ready to take on the challenge of slowing down the Heat as they come into the lane.

Roy Hibbert has really come around offensive wise in the past month, and I would look for him to be more active. But it will be up to George Hill, Lance Stephenson, and Paul George to feed him the ball at times.  If he can get it going early on, look for the Pacers to be able to open up their game more.  The points in the paint could be where this game is won for the Pacers. But they’ll have to be on their best defensive wise in the paint as well.

Knowing Lebron James loves to get into the lane, West and Hibbert will have to slow him down there, and make life tough there.  Dwayne Wade is a drive to the lane guy as well, and that could be huge if he’s beating Lance Stephenson off the dribble enough.  Hibbert will have to stay out of foul trouble because I believe Coach Vogel might use the starters more often tomorrow night.

Tyler Hansbrough needs to be as strong as we know he can be.  He’ll have to look to score when he’s out there since I believe the Pacers could take advantage of the second unit as well.  Ian Mahinmi will have to be just as big as well.  It’s going to be the tough physical play that gets the Indiana Pacers a much needed win over the Heat.  That’s been the story of the past two meetings, and the Pacers will have to be just as tough tomorrow night.
