What a great way to spend your New Year’s Eve afternoon, then head over to Banker’s Life Field House for what should be a good game between two of the better teams in the NBA.  The Pacers want to put away that tough loss to Atlanta, so it’s a good thing they’re back in action today.  The Grizzlies are coming off a good win against the Denver Nuggets, and look to continue their good start against the Pacers.

This should be a game that doesn’t feature a ton of points as both teams are so good on the defensive end.  The Grizzlies are first in points allowed, while the Pacers are right there at number two.  First one to 90 points wins this game?  That’s about how many points you could expect.

The biggest thing to watch for from the Pacers’ side is the play of Roy Hibbert.  He was on the floor for the Atlanta game, but might as well not have been there.  He put up 2 shots and grabbed no rebounds.  Still no word on what was going on, other than he just didn’t have his game.  Today will be a great opportunity to put that away and put up a good game against a team that he usually struggles against.  We all know what Roy Hibbert can do and how hard he works, so hopefully there are good things happening today.

Paul George should look for another good game as he didn’t perform that well against Atlanta.  I look for him to come out aggressive and really carry the team to the finish line.  This should be a fun and physical game, which is something the NBA has been missing.  But if you watch today’s game, you’ll get that.  This one should come down to the wire, and I think the Pacers pull it out in front of the home crowd.
