Paul George Earns Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Pacers’ Paul, Warriors’ Lee Earn Player of the Week Honors

Looks like the NBA is taking notice as to how well Paul George is playing.  There’s been two solid weeks of double figure scoring and over 20 points a game.  But the biggest aspect of Paul George’s game is the way he’s shooting.  He looks to have that confidence about him that you think every shot is going in.  That’s something that is huge.  Just think when Danny Granger comes back and you have both these guys ready to fire.  I hope that it doesn’t take away from what George is doing, but with the confidence being built it can help out.

Paul George is the guy that most fans agree can become that breakout star for the team and for the NBA.  You want a guy that has that big shot look about him.  He can finish at the basket as well, which makes him extra hard to handle. His length helps him out on defense as he can get a hand in a man’s face.  He can work to improve his footwork on defense as he’s been known to get beat off the dribble. But if that’s the only tweak to fix, things are going well.

I’m excited to see how Paul George plays out the rest of this season. I think he’s really carried the team in some wins, like the Chicago Bulls game.  The Pacers and Bulls play again December 26th, so that should be another fun game to watch.  Paul George has a good chance to improve his numbers this week as the Pacers play the Bucks, Jazz, and Cavaliers again.  Those are teams George can use his skills against.
