Three winnable games for the Pacers, and three straight wins now.  They move two games above that .500 mark, and are finally turning that corner into the team that most fans expected we would see.  Last night’s game against the Pistons was about the team effort.  Roy Hibbert gets injured when making a block and the next guy up steps in to perform.  Ian Mahinmi and Jeff Pendergaph both played some minutes in place of Roy Hibbert and did what they could for the Pacers.  It was Pendergraph’s first real dose of playing and he might have to do that again come Tuesday night against Milwaukee if Hibbert can’t go.

David West continued to excel for the Pacers as he got 23 points for the team.  George Hill was his consistent self with 18 points and 7 assists.  Paul George shoots up 15 points. Tyler Hansbrough got some of his scoring touch back with 11 points in 15 minutes of play.

Everyone on this Pacers team can perform when asked to do it, which is what makes this team able to do something big.  There’s no need for a superstar if all the parts are working together.  Hopefully this short string of wins can continue as the schedule provides a few more winnable games.

This week the Pacers look to head to Milwaukee for a game against the Bucks.  That could be the game where the Pacers make the leap over the Bucks in the standings.  There’s a game at home, where Gordon Heyward fans will be in attendance for the Utah Jazz game.  Another game with the Cavs, a team the Pacers beat by 15 at home.  Finally, a game against the New Orleans Hornets, who want to be the Pelicans, soon?  So another week of wins, and there should be more talk about what the Pacers can do this season.
