Game Night: Indiana Is Gifted an Exhausted Toronto Squad

Sometimes the schedule gods are kind. The Raptors lost a heartbreaking, triple-overtime game last night to the Jazz up in Canada, and then had to fly down to Hoosier town to lock horns with an Indiana team that hasn’t played since Saturday night. Even better for Indiana: Kyle Lowry remains out with an injury and DeMar DeRozan played 60 minutes last night.

Nothing is guaranteed in this crazy NBA world, but this presents a good opportunity for Indiana to crawl its way back to .500 and build up some confidence after a rough start to the season. Lance Stephenson is expected to get his second start this season, again getting the nod over future struggle face Hall of Famer Sam Young.

Tips off at 7:00. Be there.

George Hill Jose Calderon

Lance Stephenson DeMar DeRozan

Paul George Dominic McGuire

David West Andrea Bargnani

Roy Hibbert Jonas Valanciunas

I remember a similar situation last year. Pacers were playing the Heat on Feb. 14. The Heat were coming into Indy on the back end of a back-back-back and the Pacers last game was on Feb 11. Everyone was saying the Heat would be tired. In the end, the Heat lead by 32 points after 3 quarters and end up winning by 15. Granted it was the Heat, but like you said, nothing is for granted in this league.
