The Pacers try to continue a season of good tidings after an emotional, last-second victory up in the Great White North on Wednesday. The schedule gods were kind to Indiana to start the year, giving them somewhat of an extended preseason against a few teams they should be able to handle. Everyone is up on Toronto this year for understandable reasons, and they did look improved. But the Pacers pulled it out on the road even without playing well, and now they get a road/home back-to-back against the Bobcats tonight and the Kings tomorrow, two of the biggest dregs in the league.
Still no Danny Granger so nothing can be guaranteed, but these are two teams Indiana needs to beat
in the Fieldhouse. Especially considering that next week they head to San Antonio, Atlanta and Minnesota, three locations in which any squad could take an L.
This is Charlotte’s first game of the season, so not much to report about what to expect. My hot sports take: they will no longer be historically bad, like last year, but they will be memorably bad. People love this Michael Kidd-Gilchrist fella, I hear. There’s your analysis.
