Danny Granger Gets the New Iphone

Looks like someone took up Danny Granger on his offer to buy their Iphone and his Iphone if they stood in line for the phone.  Talk about a different way of handling your business.  This is the type of things that Granger has done before, like offering food to the workers who weren’t working during the NBA lockout.

Now it’s time for Granger to show this type of leadership on the basketball floor.  He’s always seemed to be the leader, but never fully stepped into those shoes.  With the expectations this year’s Pacers team has, I would expect Granger to get everyone going on the same page.

I thought last year took him a bit longer to settle into his role.  He was taking too many shots early on, and his shooting percentage was slow out of the game. But things turned around, and he really upped his game come April. He had one of the higher scoring averages that month as it looked like he got 20 or more points in quite a few of the April games.

This season, he needs to be that same player from April.  Look for the easy shot.  Get guys involved.  Even become more of an aggressive drive to the hole player.  I know Granger can get to the basket, so I would think he’d be better suited to do that more often.

This should be a great season for the Pacers, and Granger will be an integral part of that if he can play his role the right way.
