Denver Nuggets Off Season Recap:

The Nuggets had a productive off season with getting Andre Iguodala and dumping salaries in the huge Dwight Howard deal.  They also made sure to bring back Andre Miller, who feels like he’s always been there.  Those are two guys that just seem to fit the Nuggets team.  Javale McGee was kept around for a reasonable price as well.  The Nuggets also signed Chris Andersen, who’s fallen off the map, but perhaps can get up to some respectable level of play.

Andre Iguodala feels like a good fit for Denver as they’re a team that has those players that aren’t that good, but good enough to get the job done.  That’s about how I label the Other AI.  The Nuggets made the playoffs and even went into the second round, but with as tough as the West can be, can they do it again?

Indiana Pacers vs Denver Nuggets Match up:

Looking at these two teams might be a mirror image.  The Pacers are a team that has talent, but no true superstar just like the Nuggets.  There’s Danny Granger and Andre Iguodala who seem like the same type of players.   Two guys that can score and are great on the offensive end.

The point guard position is a good match up as Ty Lawson going up against George Hill is a match up to watch as well.  That’s two young point guards starting to come into their own.  Hill is going to be a great player for the Pacers leading the way in the best he can.  Lawson, meanwhile, seems to be the guy that is going to determine how good the Nuggets can be.

I personally find that the Pacers would have a great advantage in the post area.  Roy Hibbert is becoming a good NBA center, and I can’t see the Nuggets matching up well against him.  Then you have David West pounding away in the power forward position.  He has really developed into a leader for the Pacers.

These two teams match up well together since they look so alike roster wise.  I’ll take the Pacers in this though as I feel like there’s more talent to go around there for Indiana.

The Nuggets did not sign Chris Andersen, they amnestied him.

The Nuggets also did not make it to the second round of the playoffs, they were eliminated in 7 games by the Lakers in the first round.
