NBA Finals Prediction

Why not make a NBA Finals prediction on the last day of August?  Even before rosters are set.  Even before training camps have opened.  Even before preseason games have tipped off.  Well because there are two teams that have jumped out in most people’s mind, including mine, that should make the Finals.

Miami Heat

They look to be the team to beat in the East.  I think Lebron James will be hungry for Title #2, and should put together a great season.  He had his best season last year stat wise, so who knows if he can top that?  But I think he can make everyone around him even better, and that could help this Heat team even more.

Possible Spoilers:  Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics

Los Angeles Lakers

This team with the addition of Steve Nash, now has a point guard that can play the position great.  Sure Nash is a liability on defense, which could hurt the Lakers.  When it comes time for the offense to go though, Nash will be a floor general, and the Lakers should be able to move the ball much better.  It shouldn’t be the Kobe show, especially with Dwight Howard available in the post position.  Can they keep up with the youthful Oklahoma City Thunder is a question?

Possible Spoilers:  Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs
