Team USA Basketball 2012: Tune Up Game 3

After putting away France and Tunisia in the first two games, Team USA has two more games before the real work starts.  Today’s game should be a good one to continue to smooth out things, and make sure this team is ready to taste gold at t the end.

For me, Team USA needs to pick up the aggressiveness against Nigeria, and in it’s final game against Argentina.  That should show teams they are ready to roll, which is ultimately what us Americans want this team to do.

Look for those open lanes, and take it to the basket.  Three point shooting might come into play in those close battles against Spain, Brazil, and even Argentina, so improving upon that could be something to think about.

But the biggest thing is to make sure that this team knows they can dominant.  There’s a confidence level that is very high when you look at a guy like Kobe Bryant, who always has that killer instinct.  I would think Lebron James has finally developed that thanks to his work in the NBA the past season.  They both need to be leaders for this team, and step up to show the world who they are.

This should be another practice game for USA, but one that shouldn’t be taken too lightly, so that they are ready to roll on all cylinders come the official rounds.
