Joe Johnson Traded to Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn Nets Agree to trade with Atlanta Hawks for Joe Johnson

Well this is happening.  Not sure that getting Joe Johnson to the Nets is going to keep Deron Williams there, but that’s what the Nets think.  Now if the Nets could land Dwight Howard, which they are saying they can’t work out now, then things can look in the right direction for Williams to stay.

Even then, is that really a “big three?”  You have Joe Johnson who’s not an A level player, but more B level, and someone who can only score.  You would have two top stars in Dwight Howard and Deron Williams.  But is any team really scared about that threesome? I don’t think so.

The Hawks look better in this trade as they picked up some expiring contracts and get rid of a huge contract in Joe Johnson.  Who knows what they’ll end up doing, and it won’t matter till after this up coming season?  But still looks to be a better trade for them in the long run.
