Lamar Odom is headed back to his first team, the Los Angeles Clippers. I would think with Blake Griffin there and Chris Paul, he should fit in nicely. But then again, he went to the Mavericks and that didn’t work out.
Mo Williams of the Clippers is now becoming a Jazz player.
Dallas gets Tadija Dragicevic from Utah and cash considerations from Houston.
Houston is getting Furkan Aldemir from the Clippers.
This doesn’t surprise me that after eight seasons in Phoenix, Steve Nash thinks it might be time to head off somewhere else. This point in his career he probably wants to play on a contending team and try to win that elusive ring. With the team in Phoenix, there’s not a good chance of that happening.
Four teams have been reported as the biggest threats to signing Nash: Toronto, Dallas, New York, and Brooklyn. To me, Dallas and New York would make the most sense. I think for New York that could really help them. But then again, Nash doesn’t play much defense, which is something the Knicks want to get back to doing. Dallas makes sense if Jason Kidd doesn’t end up there. But I don’t see why Nash would even want to think about going to Toronto or Brooklyn if he wants to play on a contending team.
Well thank you Mr. Obvious, since Deron Williams will end up there or won’t end up there, hence it’s 50/50 right? I almost believe Deron Williams waits to see where Dwight Howard ends up somewhere, if he ends up somewhere. But I can see Williams going to Dallas once again if Kidd doesn’t end up back there or Jason Terry doesn’t get resigned there in Dallas. It’s tough to get a read on Williams, but my first instinct says he’s gone from Brooklyn.
Now this is an interesting report as this could be a good piece for the Timberwolves to add as a veteran leadership piece, and a good addition to play alongside Kevin Love in the post area. Gasol can spread the floor as well. But I think mostly that the T-Wolves need a veteran guy like Gasol.
