Oklahoma City Thunder  vs  San Antonio Spurs

Hard to believe how quickly the playoffs have been moving along.  Of course if a team like the Spurs finish off their opponent as quickly as they have, then things will move along.  The Thunder hardly had any problems with their playoff run as well, which is why this series should be a great one.

I believe that whoever wins this series is going to win the NBA Finals.  I think the West is just stronger right now than Boston or Miami.  San Antonio has been rolling along through this playoffs without hardly breaking a sweat.  We all know they’re undefeated in the playoffs and have won 10 games before that.  So you have to give a slight edge to the Spurs in this series.

But I also think that the Thunder are going to be tough as Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are showing that both guys are on top of their game right now.  Can the Spurs put some defense together to stop one or the other or even both guys?  That is very possible. But I still think this series goes longer than four or five games.

I picked the Oklahoma City Thunder in a podcast, so I’m sticking with that pick even with some trepidation.  I think the Thunder if they do take this series have to get going with Durant and Westbrook and hope their defense can slow down Tony Parker, who was very high in MVP voting.  I’m going with the Thunder in six games and think they move on to their first NBA Finals in only a short time.
