NBA Playoffs: Eastern Conference Recap

Boston Celtics  vs  Philadelphia 76ers

(Series Tied 2-2)

Such an up and down series with each team taking wins that I didn’t think they would take.  The Celtics get the blowout win in one game, and the next game the Sixers win by nine points.  The first two games of the series were decided by a point, so you just don’t know how this one shakes out. I predicted the Celtics in five games, which won’t happen.  But I am going to stick with my Celtics taking the series as I feel they are the better team, and will start to show it over the next two games.  It should go six games now, but Celtics will be heading to the Eastern Conference Finals with Kevin Garnett returning to form after his bad game four.

Miami Heat  vs  Indiana Pacers

(Series Tied 2-2)

Just like the other Eastern Conference Semi-Final match, this one is tied.  The Indiana Pacers get the blowout win in game three, but then couldn’t stop Lebron James and Dwayne Wade come game four.  James and Wade combined for 70 of the 101 points the Heat put up.  Even Udonis Haslem added some scoring punch that the Pacers couldn’t stop.  But my prediction can still hold true for this one, which was Pacers in 6 games.  Maybe getting away from Indiana will be a way to tighten up the Pacers and they can take game five in Miami.  They will need to bring the intensity because I feel like that’s what the Heat will be doing.  I think it’s a close win for the Pacers if they are able to pull off the win.  Then come Thursday, how awesome would it be for this Pacers team to have a chance to put away the evil Heat team?
