San Antonio Spurs Take Care of Los Angeles Clippers

San Antonio Spurs 108            Los Angeles Clippers  92

(Spurs Lead 1-0)

May 15, 2012; San Antonio, Texas, USA; San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker (9) drives to the basket under pressure from Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin (32) during the second half in game one of the Western Conference semifinals of the 2012 NBA Playoffs at the AT

The Spurs were off for a week, but you would hardly know after they put away the Clippers 108-92.  Even building up a lead of 19 points after two great scoring quarters.  The game was tied in the first, but then the Spurs put together what makes them so good.

They get 28 points in the second quarter and 30 points in the third quarter to really drive away from the Clippers.  Almost felt like the Thunder and Lakers game, where the Thunder pulled away in those same quarters.

Tim Duncan was his usual self with 26 points and 10 rebounds.  He’s that guy you know is going out there to play hard and get good production out of.  I called him the Undertaker of the NBA.  If you’re a wrestling fan, hopefully you get that reference.

Game 2 comes Thursday night with only today as the off day.  The Clippers looked like they needed more rest than that, so the Spurs should be able to take advantage of that come Thursday and go up 2-0.  I feel like the Spurs are that much a better team, and wouldn’t be surprised to see another Spurs win.
