Indiana Pacers Close Out the Orlando Magic

Game Five has just wrapped up and the Pacers are moving on to the second round of the playoffs.  Things looked like they could be tight until a huge fourth quarter push by Darren Collison and the Pacers put the game away.   That’s right, Collison, the guy who got bumped to the bench, led the way for the team in the fourth quarter.  Collison had 15 points of his 19 points in the closing period.  That 15 points was one point off the Orlando Magic’s team total of 16 points.

The Pacers turned it on when they had to as the chants of “Beat the Heat” started up late in the fourth quarter.  They put up 36 points in that quarter after the Magic had outscored the Pacers in the previous two quarters.

But the final score is the story here as they win 105-87.  They have moved on to the second round for the first time in seven years.  Now they want on the Heat to close out their series against the Knicks, which could happen tomorrow night.  A great win for this Pacers team, and now to get ready for who’s next!
