The Pacers still struggle with the better teams in the league as they were down 22 points to the Spurs in this game and never lead in this one. The final score of 112-103 shows a more competitive game, and the Pacers had a shot when the closed the lead to 5 points, but the Pacers went on a run and put this game away.
Danny Granger and Paul George each had 18 points to lead the Pacers in scoring. Roy Hibbert and David West scored 15 points, while Tyler Hansbrough scored 12 points off the bench. But Tim Duncan lead the way in all scorers with 23 points, and showed why he’s one of the greats. He had a few shots off the glass; who is better at that shot than Duncan. The Spurs shot 50% and put up 39 points in the second quarter, their season half. The Pacers were able to outscore the Spurs in that second half, but it wasn’t enough.
With this loss, the Pacers still sit in fifth place in the East, but they are only a half game up on the Atlanta Hawks. They need to put some wins together and try to separate themselves from that bottom half of the Eastern Conference.
