The Pacers and the Heat have been on the same floor for 96 minutes this season, but it’s hard to argue that they’ve been in the same league for any of them. Miami has won the two games by an average margin of 25 points. If you throw out the garbage-time fourth quarter on February 14th, the Heat outscored the Pacers 208-141. The Pacers have trailed by more than 20 points for over 50 of the 96 minutes, while only being tied or in the lead for a paltry six.
It’s time for a Twitter Preview – my thoughts on the game in 140 seconds or less. It might be easiest to just say, “Hide the women and children,” but the game has to be played – and the Pacers have beaten the Big Three in Miami before. We’ll just have to ignore the fact that it was with a largely different team under a completely different coach.
You can follow Jared Wade (@8pts9secs) and I (@TimDonahue8p9s) during the game on Twitter for the Pacers’ side. From the Heat
side, be sure to check out our True Hoop sister site: the Heat index. Also, be sure to give Brian Windhorst (@WindhorstESPN) and Tom Haberstroh (@tomhaberstroh) a follow.
Keep your eyes peeled for info on a Pacers Talk Live after the game, and come see us.
