Five Golden Wins

The Pacers keep rolling along as they get through the week with a win against Golden State last night 102-78. A score that wasn’t in doubt about a 28 and 33 point second and third quarters. Danny Granger lead the way with his 25 points on 9-18 shooting. Hopefully that hot shooting can continue for Granger because the Pacers will need it.

Best stat of the night is that the Pacers starters all played under 30 minutes in a 48 minute game. Also, the starters all put up double figures again showing that this team has a great balance of scoring even with Granger’s 25 points.

The Pacers had an edge in most team stats, and it’s great to see that this team grabbed 54 rebounds compared to Golden State’s 45 boards. Tyler Hansbrough lead the way in that department with his 9 rebounds. A sign he could be back getting aggressive as the first half he seemed to regress from last year.

But this was a win that the Pacers should have got and it’s good to see they had a bit of that killer instinct as they got the lead to as many as 33 points and never looked back during that second quarter barrage.

This hopefully sets the tone for this second half of the season as it picks up next week with a date with the Bulls. The Pacers go this weekend against New Orleans, a should be win, and can keep riding this winning streak into the up coming part of the season.
